Gonna take it all back and I ain't sayin jack

I'm not in the mood.
Not in the mood for these harsh lights, for the mean humor, the incessant talking without listening. Just too tired and crabby to deal with it today. Biting my tongue.

Most likely we will have to move our office in the very near future. While I had a small amount of hope that we could be moving into something better, it's looking more like it will be much, much worse. I can understand my boss looking for a low price, but damn if he doesn't keep looking in the shittiest of areas. But what can I do? Sometimes you feel like you're only asked for your opinion by these control-freak types so they can feel better by reinforcing that your opinion doesn't really count. That everything you think of must completely suck and be absolutely without merit. Dude, I know it's not my money or my decision BUT I am the person who spends the most time at the office. I don't expect anything fancy - I just want to have somewhere to park and be in a reasonably safe place, that's all.

I totally understand. I know that I had no idea about the safety (or lack of) for my car and person just walking from my car to the office building I'd never experienced that.

But think of it this way, at least you don't work in Detroit. Right? ;)

I hope he changes his mind and gets a decent place. Would it be possible to do your job from home? I once had a boss who decided to close our official office and let me work from home. It was awesome!

Swirly - ha, yeah - I gotta try to find the bright side to this. I mean, I know bad things could happen anywhere, but... well, you know how it is.

KC - Thank you, I hope he changes his mind too. I know - I almost think we'd be better off just working out of my boss's basement or something, but I don't think he'd go for that or having me work from home, unfortunately.

I went through the same frustration with my boss when we moved from her home office to a professional office. She kept declaring me as the Person in Charge of the Move, and then vetoing/changing every decision I made. Sucked monkeys.
